Events (Presentation and Competitions)

 

Quality Circle Case Study Presentation: (Students and Teachers)

1. Each team is allotted a time slot of 15 minutes

2. This time includes the following activities:

a. Setting up of the Stage

b. Introduction by the Circle Leader

c. Presentation

d. Concluding remarks by the Moderator

e. Questions from the floor

f. Presentation of souvenir to the team by the organizer.

g. Photo Session

3. In view of the above, the teams are advised to plan their Presentation within 15 minutes and
    requested to cooperate with the organizer to adhere to the time Schedule

4. A warning bell will be rung after 13 minutes and final bell will be rung indicating the end of
    the presentation.

5. Upon ringing of the warning bell, the team should immediately round off the Presentation.

6. The number of participants in the Case Study Presentation should be 4-10.

Paper Presentation:

1. The paper should have a maximum of eight pages inclusive of figures and tables.

2. One educational institution can present NOT MORE THAN ONE PAPER

3. The number of participants should NOT EXCEED THREE in one paper.

4. A soft copy should be sent through e-mail in the MS Word format in an attachment before
    one week of the convention.

5. One soft copy should be submitted to the Convention Coordination office

6. Each team will be allotted a maximum of 15 minutes for the Presentation.

Debate Competition:

1. Each team will be represented by TWO speakers, one speaking for the motion and other
    against the motion.

2. Each speaker will be allowed to present his/her views within three minutes.

3. A warning buzzer will be sounded after two and a half minute. A final buzzer will be sounded
    indicating the end of the stipulated time.

4. Points will be deducted if the speaker exceeds the time limit of three minutes.

5. A lively rebuttal for approximately two minutes will follow each speech with interjection from
    the participants.

6. Points will be awarded based on content, diction, delivery and arguments.

Poster and Slogan Competition:

1. Theme shall be given on the spot.

2. Each team will be represented by maximum TWO participants.

3. The participants shall work collectively to present an attractive poster with a slogan to
    project the Theme.

4. The time allotted for the competition is two hours.

5. Participants must bring their own poster colours and brushes.

6. At the venue, the organizer will provide white card sheets (4 x 3 feet). Arrangements will be
    made for display of the poster.

7. The poster will be judged on the basis of Creativity, Neatness, Originality and Interpretation
    of The Theme.

8. After the Display, these posters shall be retained by the organizer.

Quiz Competition:

1. Each team will be represented by THREE participants.

2. A preliminary qualifying written round shall be conducted prior to the Final Quiz. Points of
    this round will not be added to final tally. The best Six Teams will be selected based on the
    Written Round.

3. The Final Quiz will comprise of oral questions with audio and visual rounds. Points will be
    deducted for incorrect answer or no response. The question will be passed on to the next
    team.

4. The Buzzer Round will be the last but one round. Here, each question will be open to every
    team. The team that presses the buzzer first will have the privilege to answer the question.
    Points will be awarded for the correct answer. Negative marking shall be done in case of an
    incorrect answer.

5. The Rapid Fire Round will be the Last Round. Here each team will be asked a maximum of
    10 questions in a minute. Each right answer will be awarded 10 points.

Street Play Competition:

1. The number of participants should not be more than seven.

2. The time allotted for each team is 10 minutes.

3. A warning bell will be rung after 7 minutes and the Play should be wound up in the remaining
    time.

4. 1 (one) point will be deducted for every extra minute after the completion of the allotted
    time.

5. The Theme of the Play should be related to the Convention Theme.

6. The teams should bring their own props and other required materials.

7. Areas of evaluation: a. Presentation b. Expression c. Message of the Play/Moral
