“Education is not the amount of information that is put into the child’s brain and runs riot thereundigested all his life. The educational institutes must have systems of providing life-building, man-making, character-forming assimilation of ideas”

-Swami Vivekananda

With the grand success of the three earlier consecutive National Conventions held in the year 2005, 2006 and 2007 on Students’ Quality Circle, the organizers are extremely motivated to promote the noble approach of introducing Students’ Quality Circle (SQC) in academia as a co curricular activity to prepare Total Quality People (TQP)

Convention Theme

“SQC for Cooperation, Coordination and Collaboration”

SQC (Students’ Quality Circle) strives to solve problems of students through cooperation, coordination and collaboration among the team members. Cooperation is an association made for a common benefit. Coordination is to bring forward common actions among partners collaboration is to work jointly together in a team and share the benefits among the team members.

Quality People are those who have commitment, positive outlook, leadership abilities and a desire to excel. Quality people are not created by chance, but a constant and conscious effort is needed to groom them. They have to be trained right from the beginning with the quality consciousness as their second nature. Our educational institutions have to reorient themselves to changing needs by adapting to innovative ideas. Their contribution is not only in imparting formal education but also in shaping the attitudes and personalities of their students. Empowering programs like Students’ Quality Circle (SQC) have tremendous potential and scope to shape the attitudes, habits and leadership personalities of the students and make them total quality people, total quality citizens and total quality human beings.

Quest Nepal, in cooperation with other like-minded institutions, is announcing the Fourth National Convention on Students’ Quality Circle 2008 (4th NCSQC’08) to be held on 1st 2nd and 3rd November 2008 at St. Xavier’s School, Jawalakhel. Lalitpur.

Quest-Nepal and its cooperating partners humbly request all educational institutions to extend their active participation in this 4th National Convention and contribute towards making future citizens of quality.
